The Devastating Pain of Loss

Your life was flipped upside down.

You don’t recognize the world you live in, and you don’t have the slightest sense of how to proceed.

This loss is unlike any other you’ve experienced. Trying to navigate it is overwhelming to the point of paralysis.

You’re buried under a mountain of details.

Memories. Messages. Old photos. Videos. A million reminders.

You’re shaken, and you don’t know what to do.

There Is No “New Normal”

People in your life don’t know what to do, say, or how to help you. So they resort to platitudes. Unhelpful comments like: “Move forward into your New Normal.”

It makes you want to scream.

Doing nothing is no longer an option. You know you’ve got to do something to help yourself. You can’t stand staying in this mental and emotional space any longer.

What you wouldn’t give to sleep and eat normally again.

To be able to think straight.

To find a way through this deep, unyielding pain.

You Want to Feel Better. You Do…

You want this to end, but you don’t know where to start.

You want to reengage in life (as frightening as that may be given how everything’s changed).

You want to put yourself back together in a way that’s truly aligned with your core. And you know you need help to make that happen.

It’s scary, but it’s time.

Finding the Right Path Forward

You want someone who understands. Someone who can guide you through this.

You know you don’t want platitudes.

What you really want is actual helpful guidance that makes sense.

Interventions that help you feel better.

Support. Compassion. Kindness. Skill.

Step into Wholeness

Someone who will walk next to you as you begin. Someone who will stay close by as you walk the path forward into whatever comes next.

Grief therapy with the right therapist offers all of this and more.
